Digitalization - Sensors & Measurement - Automation

The Chair of Automation and Measurement focuses on research and teaching in various engineering fields related to sensors, sensor and measurement systems, signal processing and data analysis, automation, robotics, and industrial control.

Besides active research in these areas, we are committed to collaborate with and support industrial and research partners for solving real-world automation and measurement problems in the areas of

  • distributed and connected sensor for the (industrial) internet of things,
  • sensors and automation for renewable energies, recycling and green technologies,
  • tactile robotic sensors and robotic automation,
  • optical metrology for non-destructive testing, e.g., thermography,
  • sensor electronics and prototyping.
